Psoas Muscle Release

The psoas muscle or "iliopsoas" –a term combining both the psoas and iliacus muscles, are two large hip flexor muscles that join the upper and lower parts of the body. Psoas massage relieves chronic pain, especially in the lower back and lumber, and contributes to the many benefits of massage. Though it can be uncomfortable and time-consuming, the benefits of the treatment outweigh the costs and discomforts associated with it, if the practice is deemed beneficial to the patient.

TMJD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfuntion) Massage

TMJD causes pain and muscle spasms in the head, mandible, and neck and shoulders muscles of the body. It leads to chronic headaches, earaches, dizziness, and an inability to open the mouth. When treated with massage and trigger point therapy, patients with TMJD experience tension relief, symmetry in the muscle fascia of the jaw, and relief from other chronic pain symptoms related to TMJD. Massage therapy is a wonderful approach to the treatment of TMJD, because it posses less risk than other forms of treatment such as, surgery and splinting. Plus, the results are generally more immediate than other forms of treatment.

Myofascial Release and Massage

Myofascial release is a safe and effective massage modality for detecting and relaxing contracted muscles, improving lymphatic circulation and blood flow and relieving immobility. With this practice, your massage therapist stimulates a stretch reflex in the fascia –a thin yet tough material that wraps and connects muscles to the skeletal system– of the contracted muscles to relieve pain, increase mobility, and aid in the many benefits of massage.

Far-Infrared (FIR) Thermal Heating

Our beds are equipped with far-infrared (FIR) technology. FIR involves the use of Far Infrared rays that move through the body to gently soothe muscles, detox the body, and promote healing for both the physical body and mind. Beyond allowing the muscles to relax properly during a massage, FIR penetrates all layers in the body, which increases the body's temperature, thus increasing the body's function on every level. This technology assists in manual lymphatic massage, detox and drainage, and is beneficial to everyone.
